Downloads
Downloading CATPA will give you a free, standalone application that allows you to create, manage, and query CATPA alignment files. CATPA is a feature rich tool that we invite you to explore. We welcome your comments. CATPA can function simply as a browser for your families too. Please download the version appropriate to your operating system. Simply unzip the file to a directory of your choice and run the CATPA file.
Please note that the application requires that you have the J2SE Java™ Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.5 or later installed on your computer. This can be freely downloaded from Sun Microsystems. It is recommended that you have a 1GHz or faster CPU and at least 256MB of system RAM (512MB recommended). In order to activate the CATPA application, we request that you provide us with a valid email address. This email address will be used in accordance with Indiana University's Online Privacy Statement. It will not be made publically available and will only be used in accordance with the EULA.
After completing the form below, the address you provide will be mailed an activation code that will enable CATPA. You will need to request an activation code for each computer on which you wish to install the CATPA browser.
Note: the current version (1.1.5) of CATPA does not activate properly on MAC OS X. Previous
activated versions that have been updated to 1.1.5 may not be affected by this bug. The developers
are working to find a solution to this issue. When available, updates will be posted.
